Getting Started
Section tabs
The top bar switches between Rushing, Passing, Receiving, Defense, Team Offense and Team Defense. Each section has its own stat views and its own leader cards.
Leader cards
The cards above the table show the top three players or teams for six headline stats in the section. They use the qualified group (see below), so a player with two carries cannot top a list. They follow your filters.
Views
The buttons above the table change the set of columns shown for the section.
Summary mixes traditional counting stats with advanced ones.
Stats Per Game divides the counting stats by games played.
NGS Advanced Metrics (Rushing, Passing, Receiving) holds the tracking-based measures such as RYOE, CPOE, time to throw and separation.
Pass Rush and Nearest Defender (Defense) hold pressure stats and coverage stats for individual defenders.
Team Offense / Team Defense split into summary, passing and rushing views.
Filters and splits
Filters narrow the situation the stats are counted in: week, home or away, position, team, opponent, quarter, down and yards to go. For example, setting Down to 3rd and Yards to go to 7-9 shows only third-and-medium plays. Player search finds a name. Reset filters puts everything back.
Play-level filters (quarter, down, yards to go) are counted from play-by-play only. Season-level columns that cannot be rebuilt for a subset of plays, such as snap-based or tracking-based ones, are shown as — while one is active.
Sorting and paging
Click a column header to sort by it. Click again to flip the direction. The sorted column is tinted gold. Use the pager below the table to change rows per page and move between pages.
Qualified players (toggle)
Turn on the toggle to hide players with very small samples. The cutoffs used here are:
Qualified rushers: 6.25 rushes per team game
Qualified passers: 14 pass attempts per team game
Qualified receivers: 1.875 receptions per team game
Qualified defenders: 25 defensive snaps per team game
Reading the table markers
— The stat is not available in the open data this site is built from. These are mostly tracking-derived measures such as separation, get-off and time to pressure.
* The value is an approximation built from open data. It is a stand-in for the tracked measure of the same name and will not match the official figure. Hover a header for how it is built.
Hover any column header for a short definition, or open the Glossary for the full list for the current view.
